Advertising Week 2012 – What to Expect
Next week the advertising industry will converge in New York for Advertising Week, the annual collection of conferences, panels and other events designed to discuss and celebrate the latest trends in advertising and digital marketing.
Over the years—we’ve seen mobile become an increasingly important part of the festivities, and that has never been more evident than this year, where there will be an official conference, expo and awards show dedicated solely to mobile.
The Smarter Mobile Marketing event is being put on by the Mobile Marketing Association, and will be running from October 2-3.
We are proud to be the founding partner of the event, and we’ll be involved in three different talks/panels on the first day:
- At 9am ET, Millennial Media’s President and CEO, Paul Palmieri will give the opening keynote address of the event.
- At 2:30 pm ET, I’ll be moderating an agency panel with Amanda Richman from MediaVest, David Cohen from Universal McCann and Nick Pahade from Initiative North America.
- At 3:35pm ET, I’ll be moderating a panel with Shannon Zimmerman from Auntie Anne’s Pretzels and Catherine Tabor from Sparkfly, where we will be discussing the recent Auntie Anne’s campaign that used Point-of-Sale redemption tracking to help close the loop.
Along with these panels, the conference will feature speakers from brands like Anheuser-Busch InBev, Kraft Foods, Olympus, Adidas and more.
Anyone interested in attending can register on the official SM2 website, and qualified brands and agencies can potentially attend for free.
See everyone in New York!
