Our mission: Millennial Media is not just another mobile advertising network. We are a mobile media solution. We are a premium network; a self-service, auction-style network; and a rich-media network. Leveraging significant, highly advanced and proprietary technology, we reach and engage the entire mobile mass market - wherever they are. Our mission is to leverage this reach to monetize every available mobile advertising channel across our networks to best meet the needs of advertisers, publishers and mobile operators. |

Where it started: Paul Palmieri and Chris Brandenburg - veterans of the online advertising and mobile worlds - dreamt up Millennial Media in June 2006. They had each achieved remarkable success in their business ventures and were poised and ready for a new challenge - tackling - and winning - the mobile advertising game. They got rolling in a quaint little country office in Phoenix, Maryland with a dream of building the next-generation business model for the wireless world. |

How it began: It sounds cliché, but it really all began with a napkin sketch. Building on the dream, they envisioned, built and launched Millennial Media's leading-edge advertising technology for mobile delivery and decisioning - MYDAS. The company's first mobile ad network - designed for brand advertisers - launched soon thereafter in November of 2006 with 10 publishers and 2 advertisers. |

Moving along: With our brand advertising network growing faster than anticipated, it was time to move up our next agenda item - a solution for direct-response advertisers. Decktrade™, our performance-based self-service, auction-style network, was launched in April of 2007, months ahead of schedule - and with great success. |

Innovation begets innovation: As more mobile advertising networks began to join in the mix, it was time to make another innovative leap forward. In August of 2007, Millennial Media launched the first of its post-click experience solutions - Motion rich media. Motion enables consumers to truly engage and interact with the advertiser's brand. The success of Motion was immediate - evidenced by participating advertisers Ford and Warner Bros. |

How far we've come: With the broadest set of mobile audiences for advertisers and a unique ability to deliver revenue to mobile publishers across multiple platforms, Millennial Media has grown to become the global leader in mobile advertising. Our networks now comprise hundreds of quality, brand-name and niche publishers that have run over 1,000 mobile advertising campaigns for both branding and performance-driven advertisers. In a short amount of time we have helped define the mobile advertising industry and are proud to continue to innovate and lead the way forward. |
