Mobile platform serves ads to app users
A new addition to the mobile space could help brands take better advantage of appvertising. Called the App Engagement Program, the Millennial Media offering gives brands the ability to serve mobile ads to users who have downloaded the brand's app.
Millennial Media targets brands for app engagement tool
Mobile advertising company Millennial Media debuted what it described as “a new solution for advertisers to drive usage and engagement with their branded apps.” Called App Engagement Program, advertisers can anonymously identify consumers who have already downloaded their app, and use mobile display ads to deep-link back into it.
Millennial Adds Mobile Web Support
Millennial Media has added mobile web support to its suite of web-based tools and resources for developers on its mmDev self-serve web portal. Previously, developers could only manage their apps on the portal.The move enables Millennial’s partners to manage both their in-app and mobile web monetization efforts in one place, making it easier for them to grow their business through advertising.

Millennial Media Chief Named to IAB Board of Directors
On Wednesday, it was announced that Paul Palmieri, President and CEO of Millennial Media, has been named to the Internet Advertising Bureau’s (IAB) Board of Directors. The appointment of Palmieri is also significant in that he becomes the first mobile ad executive to serve on the board.

As the first IAB board member from a mobile advertising-focused company, his appointment underscores the organization’s expanding commitment to the emerging category.
